Madinah is where the Prophet Muhammad settled after the Hijrah, and where he is buried beneath the green dome that now marks the skyline. Unlike Makkah, the city itself is open to non-Muslim visitors, but entry to Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, the Prophet's Mosque, remains for Muslims only.
